I'm Sorry!!

Tonight was a tough night.  Tonight I wanted to take a picture of a very tough event....to show the support that the our little town was giving to a family who has gone through probably one of the worst things that a family could go through....losing a loved one. (But I couldn't and didn't!!)  On Thursday I got a call from the school -- not looking for me but looking for my husband, there had been a death -- someone had committed sucide and they wanted all the pastors to come to the school to help with talking with the students.  John raced up to the school not even knowing who had commited suicide just ran up.  I waited hoping to find out who it was -- racking my brain and praying for the kids and the family that was dealing with the aftermath of what had occured.  John texted me thankfully with who had died and I just crumpled.  We live in a small town and while it's a small town we don't know everyone in the community but we know enough.  The girl that had died unfortunately we knew....she didn't attend our church but we knew her -- she had helped a couple years ago with our VBS.  We knew her parents and her siblings....it was a horrible day that thursday.  Today people from around the community got together and held a candlelight service right outside the girl's home -- letting the family know that we support them during this hard and awful time.  It was a time of tears, and listening to music that meant so much to the girl and her friends.  We had walked to the candlelight service and as we walked back from the candlelight service we could still hear the music and as we got back to our house and yard I just sat and stared into the fire and listened to the music and just thought -- this isn't happening, this isn't really but it is and while she is gone we are dealing with all sorts of emotions and the aftermath.  I feel horrible for the family and wish that there was a way for me to show my support and love.  I am so sorry!!!
